Forgive & Forget

Tonight while doing the usual Facebook stalking I came upon this quote;

"If you want to forget someone never hate him/her, everyone that you hate is engraved upon your heart; if you want to forget, you cannot hate."

I found it very close to me, and also very true. Hate will only consume you and leave the other person untouched while you are full of grief. What good does that do to you?
I find it very hard to let go of things but would rather not bring them up again, but its even worse when someone does something "bad" to me. If what you really want (and what you should really do) is to forget them, kinda like "forgive & forget" which again can be hard to do but at the end only benefits you. And also makes you the bigger person.

Closed Door, Open Window

This is true for many of us. We often spend so much time looking at what could have been, why this happened, and just over analyzing everything that we do not see what is in front of us. I am a firm believer of things always happen for a reason but some things are just too hard to understand or even just see past it. For some of us it is better to not even think about what has happened and just go with the flow about what is to come. If we were able to just sit and think about what is happening and see what we have to life for maybe we would notice that door sooner and realise how fortunate we really are.
